While the Caya gel itself is not yet FDA approved, there are two contraceptive gels that have been tested as compatible with Caya.
- VCF Gel is the most commonly used water-based gel that is available over the counter at most retail pharmacies
- Phexx® (lactic acid, citric acid, and potassium bitartrate) vaginal gel has also been tested and is compatible with Caya. Because Phexx is FDA-approved, it requires a prescription, so please contact your provider or visit with a telehealth provider if you are interested in this gel.
